Although the Balagne is renowned for the beauty of beaches and transparent water, it is nevertheless a region which has a rich land and history. It is because of this diversity that it was given the name ‘the garden of Corsica’. On the north western coast of the island, from the valley of Ostriconi to Galeria, the Balagne opens out towards villages and hamlets which you will soon become familiar with.
Archaeological sites, citadels, churches, chapels and other buildings, of which a certain number are listed monuments, attest of an inheritance on which centuries and man have left a lasting impression, and of which, while visiting the site, you will possess the key.
If you seek adventure, the Balagne is also a natural environment, perfect for walking, paragliding, mountain-biking and any other outdoor activities.
